Bridging the Gap Between Emotions and Logic
As logical thinkers, we pride ourselves on our ability to analyze data, break down complex issues, and make sound decisions. However, the very same traits that make us strong in these areas can sometimes make it difficult for us to navigate our emotional lives.
One of the main struggles that logical thinkers face is finding a balance between emotions and rational thinking. We may be so focused on analyzing a situation or problem that we overlook our own emotional reactions to it.
There are many challenges those in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields face in their personal and professional lives. I strive to recognize the value of both logical thinking and emotions. With Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science as well as a Ph.D. in Psychology, I hope to bring a unique perspective to our work.
I would like to use my background in STEM to offer an approach to therapy for clients who are often more comfortable with algorithms than emotions.
